An Acknowledgement / Proof of Acknowledgement is a certification that a signer personally appeared before the notary, was identified by the notary, and formerly declared to the notary that the signer willingly signed the document for its intended purpose.
A Jurat is a certification that a signer personally appeared before the notary with an unsigned document, was identified by the notary, was put under sworn oath or affirmation to attest the statements in the document were true, then signed the document is the presence of the notary.
A Verification is a certification that a signer personally appeared before the notary, was identified by the notary, acknowledged signing the document, was put under sworn oath or affirmation and verified the statements in the document were true.
The notary administers an oath or affirmation to a witness/deponent in a deposition, including completing the certificate, affixing the seal, and other connected business.
A Certified Copy of a Non-Recordable Document is a certification that a document was presented to the notary by the document’s custodian, was photocopied by the notary, and is a true, exact, complete and unaltered copy. The document is neither a public record nor a publicly recordable document.
A Certified Copy of a Notarial Record is a certification, pursuant to Texas Government Code § 406.014(c), that a preceding or attached document is a true, exact, complete and unaltered copy made by the notary of a notarial record, the original of which is held in the custody of the notary. The Texas Secretary of State suggests that all requests for copies of entries in a notary’s record book be made in writing through a certified letter to the notary’s official address on file. Requests should include the name(s) of the document signer(s), the type of document(s) signed, and the month and year of the notarization.
Performing any other notarial act or completing a certificate and seal not otherwise provided for under Texas Government Code § 406.024.
Late Evening Mobile Service is a travel charge between 9:00 p.m. and 12:00 a.m. to meet you at a mutually agreed upon location (within 10 miles of State Highway 6 and the Fort Bend Tollroad) for 30 minutes of service. Locations beyond 10 miles may incur an additional mileage surcharge. This charge is separate from Texas Notary Fees.
Night Owl Mobile Service is a travel charge between 12:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. (midnight) to meet you at a mutually agreed upon location (within 10 miles of State Highway 6 and the Fort Bend Tollroad) for 30 minutes of service. Locations beyond 10 miles may incur an additional mileage surcharge. This charge is separate from Texas Notary Fees.
Overnight/Early Bird Mobile Service is a travel charge between 2:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. to meet you at a mutually agreed upon location (within 10 miles of State Highway 6 and the Fort Bend Tollroad) for 30 minutes of service. Locations beyond 10 miles may incur an additional mileage surcharge. This charge is separate from Texas Notary Fees.
A mileage surcharge is applied when a customer-designated location for service is greater than 10 miles of State Highway 6 and the Fort Bend Tollroad. Charged at $2.25 per mile (one way). This charge is separate from Texas Notary Fees.
